About me

I’m Ruslan Parkhomenko, a passionate digital and printing graphic designer. Currently living in Kaunas, Lithuania, originally from Ukraine.

How I started my journey?

I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of digital innovation and creativity. My journey into graphic design started at age 11, working on video game servers. I handled both technical and creative tasks, from coding payment systems in PHP to designing forums in Photoshop. I also picked up video editing along the way, becoming skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro.

In high school, I focused on web development, with a love for frontend. This led me to explore UI/UX design, but I soon realized I craved the tactile experience of physical media like print.

In 2019, I shifted my focus to graphic design. By 2021, I had committed fully, completing courses and taking on part-time design jobs while studying at university.

Soft skills

My technical background and education have instilled in me an analytical approach, enabling me to tackle complex design challenges with efficiency and precision.

Leadership is a strength of mine; I’ve taken on new challenges, like creating impactful ad videos, which earned recognition from my colleagues.

Working in remote part-time and full-time roles has honed my multitasking abilities.

My adaptability was crucial when I was the sole designer at a print shop producing 50,000 packaging units per month. I ensured high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Expertise

Marketing Design — Designing static and motion assets for campaigns, social media, presentations, and ads.

Visual Systems — Ensuring visual consistency across formats and markets, including localization and adaptation for international audiences.

Print & Layout Design — Preparing business cards, posters, banners, brochures, and other materials for clean, precise production.

Brand Identity & Logo Design — Building cohesive and scalable visual systems for businesses and organizations.

Packaging Design — Creating functional and visually striking packaging with a strong focus on prepress and production-ready deliverables.

Creative background

Beyond graphic design, I’ve worked from 2019 to 2024 as a stage technician, sound engineer, and lighting technician on various live events — from intimate weddings to large-scale festivals. I collaborated with performers and event organizers, crafted screen visuals, did occasional DJing, and lit concerts, including for Ukraine’s largest choir and choreographic shows.

Working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment taught me to stay calm, think clearly, and be a reliable team member no matter the situation — whether on stage or behind the screen.
